how not to be poor

i read an interesting bit of news recently.

according to the philippine government, the minimum amount that a family of five should earn to stay out poverty in 2007 is... 10,000 pesos a month ($225).

for a family of five.

2,000 pesos a month each.

and you are not in poverty.

by the way, this is for a family living in the national capital region. the numbers are likely lower in mindanao.

how they do the numbers is beyond me. i'm no good at math, but i'm guessing these figures don't match reality.

good thing our president is an economist. she'll fix things. she's awesome at fixing things (see: elections, 2004)

good times.

thanks mac.

yeah, since i can't really post much of my freelancing work on my blog. i've just been posting personal pieces. you are going to see a different side of me, because i like experimenting and letting people i admire influence my personal work.

i can sometimes be like a kid in a candy store. i like to try different flavors to see what works for me.

agree.
i myself learn more when playing with personal work.
unfortunately, i haven't had much free time to play this year.

but it's good to see your peers try new things. certainly inspiring to do the same.

I love to read your blog. I just learned so much:) Your images are beautiful, and I've never seen Hale's image of the Prime Minister before. What a treat. You have great images and ideas.
